Leaders in Training (LIT)
Beckwith's Leaders in Training program allows campers who are rising 10th-12th graders to be trained in a variety of areas. Trainings will include CPR/First Aid, Safeguarding God's Children, sailing, ropes course, and small group facilitation. Our LIT program is designed to prepare campers to take on the voluntary role of Junior Counselor (see details below).
Junior Counselors
Junior Counselors are rising 10th-12th graders who are interested in gaining experience working at camp. After successfully completing the Leaders in Training program, campers will submit the weeks of camp that work best for their summer schedule, and they will be assigned one of those weeks to come and work at camp.
Junior Counselor responsibilities include assisting the counselor in cabin, cleaning up the dining hall after meals, leading campers around in Family Groups to their assigned activity areas, and assisting the Activity Director in setting up for all-camp activities.
The position of Junior Counselor is voluntary and unpaid, but will count toward any volunteer hours that students may need.
Please contact Ben Linder at [email protected] with any questions.
