General Information
At Camp Beckwith, our mission is to provide a summer camp experience where children and youth can find a safe space to grow closer to God, make new friends, challenge themselves, and strengthen their self-confidence.
This mission is accomplished by offering various outdoor activities, providing intentional moments of Christian formation and worship, and operating within a small group philosophy. We wish to create an environment where every camper will experience God's grace and will be treated as a beloved child of God. Campers will be free (and encouraged) to try new things and find success--or even failure--without the feeling of defeat. Beckwith is owned and operated by the Episcopal Diocese of the Central Gulf Coast. |
SO MANY ACTIVITIES!
Beckwith Camp and Retreat’s summer camp program allows for children of varying abilities to actively participate in camp activities. Campers will need to possess the ability to stand and walk in order to get the full camp experience. Unfortunately, Beckwith does not have the resources or technology to offer wheelchair assistance at our waterfront, ropes course, or games field.
Our staff are trained in basic CPR and First Aid. Our Camp Nurse provides medication administration and care for minor injuries/accidents.
Beckwith summer staff are not specially trained to assist campers with extreme physical or mental needs.
